When we talk about English Literature, we can surely say that storytelling it has always been an essential part of human nature. Creating stories is a feature that belong exclusively to Men among all creatures on Earth and that's what is so an unique and meaningful form of expression and communication. One that have passed down from generation to generation, sharing knowledge and wisdom in all societies.
Storytelling began with oral traditions, and in such forms as myths, legends, fables, anecdotes, and ballads. Nowadays, it's currently defined as a report of related events presented to listeners or readers, in words arranged in a logical sequence. Narrative is usually taken as a synonimum of stories, due to the fact that in a story, theres is usually a narrator who states and present the facts and situations within the story.
